It is our mission in life to give kids, families and communities access to the benefits of play.
Play is so beneficial. And it is going away in schools and homes due to stringent curriculum requirements and busy households. Play can build confidence, reduce obesity & ADHD, develop creativity & empathy, and teach social boundary awareness, problem-solving skills, resilience, and build grit.
So here at Silly Street, we are working to implement more opportunities for play-based learning into classrooms and communities. We have partnered with schools and educators to do this. Whether that is providing games and activities for teachers to use in their classrooms, or by partnering with teachers and educators so we can bake these wonderful and beneficial Character-building skills into games and toys that kiddos LOVE.
We look for secret little loopholes where we can take something that needs to be learned or fostered, and bring it to a kiddo in an engaging way that doesn't feel like ugh, WORK.
We work on this mission every day.
We are also making the world just a little bit better outside our walls. In our communities and across the country, we are joining forces with select partners like Kipp Charter Schools to provide playful opportunities for communities that are underserved.
